Current Financial Status

Since 2000, the Foundation has given out more than $50,000 in scholarships, student awards, teacher grants, and student trips.

As of December 2014, the Foundation has grown to having over $130,000 in assets. The Trotwood-Madison Educational Foundation and its funds are components of The Dayton Foundation. This partnership with The Dayton Foundation allows the Trotwood-Madison Educational Foundation to benefit from local leadership and to profit from resources pooled with others for investment growth.

To support the Trotwood-Madison Educational Foundation, funds are sought from businesses, organizations and individuals. The Foundation provides monies not available from public funds to enrich the quality of services offered to all Trotwood-Madison students.

Our History

The Trotwood-Madison Educational Foundation was founded in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens of the Trotwood-Madison community. The Foundation was established as an association, separate and distinct from the Trotwood-Madison Board of Education.

The Foundation became a component fund of The Dayton Foundation in 1990. It is devoted to improving the education of youth in the Trotwood-Madison City School District and to providing college scholarships to its graduates. The fund was initiated with gifts from residents of that school district.
